So im in the process of starting a new tank, currently have a 50 gallon upgrading to a 200 gallon which is reaching in under 2 months hopefully.

Im planning on using my current scape as well as rocks and bio media in the sump to the new tank, however given how much larger it is not sure the new tank would be fully cycled. Ive completed my new aqua scape which will connect to the existing one but its massive and glued together already and cant have it standing up so instead I made a DIY aquarium that cost me 40 dollars in total. Its the size of my new scape and im going to use it over the next 2 months to cycle the new rock. Whats your thoughts on the work? Any concerns? I think it should hold up just fine. It will be roughly 80 gallons I believe.

I'll admit some of the things I do are considered sketchy. I have a 40g breeder stand that has been described as beyond sketchy but I don't think I would trust a plastic bag in a wooden box to hold rock and water. I'd go with some type of plastic tote even if I had to put straps around it to keep the slides from bulging. A stock tank is perfect but cost around $100. I justified the expense by using mine as a pool for my dogs in the summer.

Ive tried to heavily reinforce it and it will have a brace on the top once the rock is in. Also the nylon is quite thick and theres 4 layers of it in total. Not saying its a guarantee but I think it will hold the 80 gallons. Let's hope im right
