I have had a Tomini tang for 4 days now. He moving about the tank well and doesn't seem to be too stressed. I feed a mixture of frozen foods that includes both carnivore and herbivore food. He started eating that pretty well last night but he still isn't taking to the dried nori I have offered everyday. My Foxface loves the stuff and I though he may be giving all of it so I added an additional veggie clip and offered a piece of red nori on one and green on he other. What I'm wondering is if he is still getting used to things? He picks at the rocks all day too. I just really love this fish and want to make sure he is getting the nutrition he needs.

Give it time and it will start eating the nori. My tomini took a little while before it started eating the nori on the clip. As long as it is eating you will be fine.

Agreed, He may never go for the clip. If he is hitting the rocks though he will be fine. You could always Rubber band a piece of nori around a rock and put it in the tank. That might work as well.

I had a tomini tang for about 2 years who also picked at the rocks constantly. He would not even go near the nori I would put in and after about 9 months I gave up. He was healthy and happy up until my tank crashed during sandy. I would keep trying but if he doesn't go for it I wouldn't be too worried.

I may try rubber banding it to a rock later. Last night I tried putting an instant ocean seaweed grazing block in the tank... One of my cc stars is currently devouring it! This is the same star that I will sometimes find covering my nori clip(he eats everything!)
