With all your talking with Ecoxotic on the LEDs did they ever happen to tell you anything about the chip they are using? I am wondering if they are using a series and parallel circuits of 1w emitters or if they have a higher wattage emitter. Have you measured your par level yet with the light 5 inches above water level?

Tony....I have a chance to pick up a brand new 300g DD at an amazing price. I have been trying to find out what the bulkhead sizes are in the overflows. Can you tell what size they are?

Now that MACNA 2013 is behind me I can get back to my main project, my 300!

Had my first casualty – the PNG Gold Nugget Wrasse, which is no longer available, jumped before I could get the protective covering on the tank. This is a fish that will be very difficult to replace!

Joining this thread late - love the build so far! Out of curiosity, are you going to leave the back wall transparent (i.e. without some sort of background)?

Also wanted to say how much I enjoyed MACNA. This was my first one to attend and my family and I really enjoyed ourselves. The speakers were exceptional; I learned a ton!

I will post over the weekend what I did with the background. I am so glad you enjoyed MACNA, we put a lot of work into that event.

I think the introduction of the speakers was the best part :)

Completely covered the top of the aquarium, I will not lose fish to carpet surfing any more. The left and right side have clear acrylic end caps which the screened frames rest upon.
