Video of the flow would help. What about the independent testing? Need to verify the results. Sounds like this tank isn’t very stable with regard to parameters and may take more attention/effort on your part. First step, however, is to verify your testing results.

For whatever reason if I insert a video it’s unplayable

Tank is 6 months and old, ammonia and nitrite 0, nitrate 5-10 ppm, alk 8.3, phosphate 0, calcium 620ppm, mag 1650. Params have been stable since right around I got the torch.
Phosphate 0, calcium and magnesium are wayyyy high if reading is accurate. Right off the top these are all issues that should be figured out.

What tests are being used? Gotten a second opinion? Are you sure salinity is correct and not a false reading also?
jekyl is spot on !!!

By the time I took the video, it looked like how it looked yesterday, so I decided to move it down. It’s in a different spot now
Stop.

Any changes you make are setting you back 2 weeks. Improvements don't happen over night.

Get accurate parameters are report back.

This is the way.

I am honestly surprised it's less happy with more flow.

All of my local guys keep them right around acro/SPS levels of flow, so I moved mine into higher flow, and it's wildly happy up there.

Be sure you get an accurate salinity level. If it's truly 1.028, that is on the verge of too high for most coral, and also could be the reason your other values are high (calcium and magnesium). If you need to lower it, do so slowly over the course of several* days to 1.025-1.026. (*depending on how high it is. Aim for no more than 0.005 change per day)

I got salinity down to 1.026 today as I had a clog in my filter and the tank needed water, I’ll get it down to 25 soon

I retested everything just now, and things seem more in check. Alk 9.2 Cal 575, Mag 1480, Phos 0
