I got this in the mail yesterday. It's been in my tank since 10am yesterday. It looked like this at 5 pm today. I've had bad luck with shipping torches. Does this look down for the count?

I would move it a bit farther away from your Duncan's...
I don't have as much luck with the wall variety of euphyllias as I do the branching... They seem alot more sensitive...

I did move it since I took this pic earlier. I believe that is branching. It's just one head. I'm disappointed because I feel it won't make it. Everytime I buy one locally it's fine in the same day.

Looks like Wall Hammer. But, its receded a bit, but the tentacles in the from look like they are giving it a go, filling up, might extend some.

I understand what your getting at, but I've never seen a Wall Torch, not the way its growing out like it is.
Ok, I guessed to fast.
Wall Frogspawn

The seller said it was the same as the pic I just posted. I also have never seen a wall torch. I'm gonna be a little upset if this actually is a wall. I've always avoided buying anything in wall form.

They kinda grow a bit on the wierd side, and all over the place. But that being said, they are beautiful pieces when they get going, and yours may come back to ya. How did you acclimate it? What light is it under? And what light did it come from? Does it need light acclimation?

With corals I just temp acclimate. It's under an Ati 4 bulb fixture. It came from a t5 6 bulb.

I have no luck with torch. lasts about a week. went with frogspawn instead. it's doing great.

Almost all the torches we get in look like that or worse when the come in. Especially if they were Transshipped. Just keep an eye out for brown jelly or use the smell test.

Ya had basically no tentacles the next morning. I pulled it and it didn't smell bad, but I wasn't taking any chances and infecting my others.
