I bought the torch (NY nick) about a week ago(the 25th of October) when I got it it was close I placed it on the sandbed (par 100ish) as all my new corals start there it has not open once

Parameters are good
Alk:9-9.5
Ph:8.25-8.35
Mag:1400
Cal:420-450
Phosphate: 0.08-0.14
Nitrate:16.3-16.7
all of these have been tested with the apex trident and hanna checkers

all my other corals are nice and fat because I feed them 3 times a week would like some help with the torch thanks

I always find my euphillia are super finicky in placement. Try moving it to a lower flow spot for now and see if it opens up. Ive got two hammers in the same place and 1 is fully closed 1 fully open

My torches sit mid tank in 250 par.
I know they can withstand higher par but shouldn't they over extend if it was a low par issue this torch has not fully open for a week and 2 days now

Euphyllia like torches dont ship well sometimes. Did you dip it for any pests? How old is your tank?

I would probably try a revive dip or even a KFC dip as a preventive measure at this point if you are going on 2 weeks without a response.

Will do tomorrow since I moved it to a new spot to see if it opens

I think I would get it into a zone with stronger flow....as strong as you can give it, and that doesn't seem to bother it. Assuming all other conditions are good, that's what it'll take for best recovery. Maybe cut the lights for a day as an experiment. (Use acclimation mode, if your lights have the feature.)
