I have a 150 gal sps tank. I would say my tank is fairly heavily stocked with sps. I have been trying to get my dose correct. My tank uses .4dkh per day. What would you reccomend as a starting dose.

There is a recommended dosage for triton but you will have to adjust to get your alk around 8.
This also depends on what your current alk is. There is a document called "triton for dummies" that will be helpful.

Thanks i will check that out. I had my alk at 8dkh. It seems stable for a couple days then it drops. I raise the dose and gradually goes back up to 8 over few days. It will seem stable for few days then start to rise and i have to turn it off and let it drop back. I have gone through this a few times in the last month or so. I am amazed i have not lost anything with my alk bouncing around like this.

Ok as my alk falls back to 8 if try starting at that dosage per day and adjust from there. How may i ask did you calculate the 12mls number.
One ml of the triton elements roughly equates to .1 dkh for 50 gallons of water.

Ur consuming .4 dkh in a 150 gallon tank if what u said is true you need to multiply 4x3 and u get 12 ml (4 ml to replenish the consumed alk for 50 gallons u have 150 gallon tank so u multiply that by three hence 4x3)
