Just went past my tank and I can hardly see into it (minor heart failure). It seems all of my trochus snails are spawning! All of them! They've all climbed to the highest points and are standing up on the end of their feet and making a big ol' mess. The curious thing is that I made an adjustment to my moonlights today, shifting from a warm white to a bluer light. Moonlight would have kicked in about 40 minutes ago so I'm guessing this triggered it. Interesting!

That said, with this much...stuff...in my water should I add some extra carbon or do a water change in the morning? These guys are really showing me what they think of this lighting change!

Actually more important question what's the tank size and how many snails?

50g AIO with 5 trochus snails. I've seen them give little "puffs" before but never such a sustained and coordinated effort, and that's with several of them being more than two years old. Crazy thing. I already struggle with high nutrients so after letting out a sigh of relief (not a bacterial bloom) I moved to wondering what that nitrate and phosphate were going to look like tomorrow. My candy can sure was happy, puffed up like a balloon!

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?
