Yeah I understand. If there were wild caught Hawaiian Yellow Tangs available when I purchased my first fish, I would have bought that even if it cost a premium. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), wild caught Hawaiian Yellow Tang's are rare nowadays.Just last week , I praised Biota for their work and how the tangs do not differ as they mature. Its not for comparison but many have wondered when hawaii yellows will return or if ever. This was posted to show Hawaii yellows are again out there.
I mean technically all of our yellow tang are Hawiian they are bred in Waimānalo, HI.Wow...maybe the store's marketing is slightly misleading and maybe that's helping their margins just a little...
I learn something new - wasnt sure where facility for tangs was locatedI mean technically all of our yellow tang are Hawiian they are bred in Waimānalo, HI.

Gotta love vendor lies uhm I mean marketing. Next they'll be super ultra yellow hawian tangsOh Boy and the heading posted is their's stating Hawaiian - Thanks for clarification.
And if I move to Vietnam and have a child with my American Caucasian GF should I say my child is veitnamese? Just kidding I still think it's misleading on the vendors part. Thank you for chiming in.I mean technically all of our yellow tang are Hawiian they are bred in Waimānalo, HI.
I dont want to make assumptions but there's probably a reason they didn't mention they are CB (and not only so they could add $100 to the price).I mean technically all of our yellow tang are Hawiian they are bred in Waimānalo, HI.

6 yellows for me . . .. 4 were 29.99 and other two $49.99my first yellow was 30$! when do those days come back!!!!! lol
They just opened up in Stanford. I dealt with them - they are a legit business but wow- Here is their adYeah, that is super dishonest. I just tried to call them and the number does not work. It's a NY # but they say they are located in Stamford CT. This is all very fishy...
Cant say fraud opposed to misrepresentation which can be deemed as such. Retailers have the right to charge what they want , but this has placed many under the impression that these were : Hawaii caught. So, this is fraud, right?

I don't think anything in that ad is fraudulent. These tangs sourced from Biota are indeed "Hawaiian Yellow Tangs". The ad does not say anything about wild caught vs captive bred. So, this is fraud, right?
Meaning stay on topicAnd that means what exactly?
I'm only sad because like my father I'm now using terms like "those were the days" and " I remember when" its a humbling feeling to join this club.... lol!!!6 yellows for me . . .. 4 were 29.99 and other two $49.99
Those were the days !!
