Wow, that is so pretty! Where did you get it? I have 2 bubble tip and a mini carpet. None of them are that gorgeous though.

Got her at a LFS. heres a shot at night with just the LEDs on. sorry for the not so focused picture. hard to take with little light.

thats pretty sick... How are these guys temperments? Pretty aggressive like other nems or can the be placed in reef tanks easily? I am rather afraid of anemones because i would hhate to ahve one rip arpart my reef. those are some pretty nice photos i like the first one more than the second what camera and lens are you using?

That is a sweet one! I had one that was navy blue with light blue center.

They are pretty well behaved but they require a deep sand bed to make them happy. Mine kept coming loose in the flow of my tank and eventually dissapeared behind my rock work.

I think Boomer has a pretty good thread on tubes at rc, he had a good cure for the issue with their wandering

How can they "wander"?

I held one exactly like your pic recently...just a flabby tube of ugly meat, with this beautiful tenacles and pink center! And cheap like $30.

Hard to see how it could move.

Are they a danger to fish or?

Thanks...great thread...different.

I dont they can move and if they can its gotta be pretty slow. its about a 1" tube around of ugly meat like john said.

His temperment is excellent and I think mines very peaceful. yesterday by mistake I place my mummy eye chalice above him and a few hours later saw his tentacles touch the chalice. No damage what so ever to the chalice.

My tank is a mixed reef with about 20 fish and three shrimp. I have no problems with the tube anemone.

What they do is make a tube and live in it, if they don't like something they will just release from the tube and float around the tank till they land in a spot that they like.

. These look pretty cool i don’t think i have ever seen one in person how much do they resemble a duncan?

To me they look absolutely nothing like a Duncan. They are way cooler!

They do look like the same consept to me, they are deffinitly cooler and nicer though.

Do these guys have a foot like a regular nem? Or do they have the tube like a tube worm? The colors are wonderful on these.

its a tube like a feather duster only much bigger. I also dont think they look anything like a duncan. I think it looks like my wife. Beautiful and mesmerizing but when messed with she'll sting the heck out of ya lol.
