Hello,

I have a Nuvo tank w/c is an AIO. My plan is to put this wavemaker on the backwall but I would like to know if the magnet is submersible?
Does anyone know or have a current set-up where the magnet is under water / submerge?

Thanks!

I had two on my 22g and absolutely love them (I still have them). I controlled them via my apex, which opened them up to so much programming. I saved the programming, figured I would put them in another tank at some point. The flow director/cap is so versatile and allows you to aim or spread the flow pattern in any direction. I honestly think they should make a bigger version (not the stream 3) of this pump. It pushes a lot of water for it's size.

Good to hear! Where are your Tunze's mounted / placed in your tank, are the outside part of the magnet are in the water, submerged? Thanks!

All Tunze's pumps/wavemakers come with a set of magnets. As to your question, yes, the black magnet attaches to the pump and the blue magnet goes on the outside. They are pretty strong magnets, so be careful not to let them slam against the glass. On the pump, there are 4 rubber spacers that attach to the black magnet and help reduce vibrations.
These pumps are so easy to clean, just pull off the cap (if you're using it) and simply remove the impeller, pulling straight up, done. I was using them on opposing sides of the tank, aimed at each other (slightly off axis) and they created lots of random flow.

I have two in my Waterbox AIO 40.2. I mounted one on each side wall in the back. One is mounted lower with the deflector pointed down across the back to hopefully sweep out any debris and the other is mounted higher with the deflector pointed down as well but diagonal across the tank. I'm just cycling the tank, so I really have no idea how this flow pattern will work out. But it seams good.

I had the same question on the magnets as I was thinking about possibly mounting them on the back wall. I emailed Tunze and they confirmed they are waterproof.

BRS has a video showing the flow pattern of the 6020, which is a similar pump not controllable:
