Ok i originally bought all at once 3 months ago 3 Turbo snails, 3 emerald crabs, 3 nassaris Snails, 2 cleaner shrimp, and 3 Scarlett hermit crabs. Now all my inverts are going strong except all 3 Turbo snails have died off within a week. 1 day mowing down algae next day not moving at all for days. then dead.
Stinks because they have kept my algae at bay. Biggest help in my clean up crew. I want to just go out and buy 3 more and throw them in but i'm afraid to bring Ick into my system. Now i have to put up a QT tank and keep the turbos there for 72+ days. Issue with that is being able to keep them alive to even make it to the DT.
So my question is do Turbo Snails just not last to long in a reef tank. Is it normal to live a short life. I here they like cooler waters?
