So, I've had a pair of twin spot gobies (the difficult kind) for a while now, perhaps a year. Eating well, accepts pellets, and LRS fertility. They were doing great until this week. I found the male dead on Saturday, then the female died this morning. Before the female died, she had a batch of eggs that she laid in the grow out tank that they were in on Monday. My question is, do twin spot gobies die after they breed or was this some freak accident that happened by chance?

Twin spots should be able to breed more than once, but breeding takes a lot of energy and makes them more susceptible to stressors.
