twinspots_goby's corals :o

it may not be. i would just watch your corals carefully for bleaching. in a taller cube tank like yours it will probably be fine at 100%. i was warned when i bought my powerbrites that they have bleached lps for some folks, so i only turn them on when i'm looking at the tank.

No kidding? I had no idea these things were that powerful. I really wanted them for an actinic supplement for an hour before and afer the halide was on and for pics of course. :)

I'll definitely keep an eye on things. Thanks for bringing that up.

Do you think the finnex are as bright as the pb's? With the finnex you get 9 1w led's right? Are they same color? 460-470nm? thanks

I believe Finnex are just as bright as PBs with wider coverage area. Yes. Finnex has 9 1w LEDs and with dual stage switch: 50% and 100%. as far as color, Finnex are the same as PB and are 460nm.

i believe he ordered through aquacave. premium also has them. and i'm sure any of the sponsors here are able to get them for you, too. ;)

My Finnex LED will be here tomorrow.

twinspots_goby, Can I hang this from the ceiling or am I going to have to rig something up. I don't have a canopy, I only have a large finished LB on the tank.

I was playing around with my new tripod. Here is another shot of my unknown chalice again under daylights.
