Twostick Stingfish

Dang. Good thing I asked, I didnt think about the kidneys at all. Ive just bought some Kanaplex, it comes tomorrow.

A single dose of kanaplex lasts 48 hours, is the medication strong enough to possibly see effects within the first treatment? I dont want to take the fish out for photos too often

Antibiotics are pretty slow to work - they should stop the lesions from growing within 5 to 7 days, with healing starting after a few weeks.

Ive decided Ill switch to kanaplex after 7 more days of neoplex.

Kanaplex dosing every 48 hours and its measured out to 5 gallons per scoop. Im not filling up the bucket all the way so that makes it kinda risky to dose. I read it can overdose easily, not sure how true that is but Imma stick with the stability of neoplex for 7 more days. If it still looks bad then Ill try kanaplex

Update photos! Deciding what my next move is now, neoplex treatment is over.

It looks like alot of the spines are falling out. Im really gentle when adding him to the photo tank so I think they may be falling out on their own. Ill have to look into it, if that is a normal part of healing process for venomous spines or if I should be concerned. The lesion under the right eye looks better to me, the other has obviously grown :/

That isn't a normal part of the healing process, the dorsal spines are essentially bones and should not fall out. That means the infection is very deep seated.

Still, these look a bit better - is it still feeding well?
How many doses of kanaplex has it gotten?
