Set up my Ultum Nature Systems R90 back in April, finally getting around to posting my build thread.

The tank is roughly 36 x 22 x 22 inches, about 70 gallons.
It's been a while since my last reef tank, and that was a smaller 20G UNS 60A Dual AIO, so jumping to this larger size allows for a lot more freedom. Planning on a mixed reef of Some softies (zoas, mushrooms) , some LPS (euphilia & scolys), as well as some high-end sticks.

Tank: Ultum Nature Systems R90 in grey

Pump: Sicce SDC 7.0 main return pump
Sicce SDC 6.0 secondary pump to feed my UV and Chiller

2 x Sicce Xstream Wavemakers

Dosing Pump: Reef Factory x4 Doser

Skimmer: Planning on an Ultra reef 160

Roller mat: Reef factory Smart roller M

Lighting: Reef Factory Reef Flare L.

Chiller: Teco 1000

Other gear: Reef Factory KH Keeper Plus, Reef Factory Salinity Guardian, AquaUV 25W UV Sterilizer

Rockwork: Reef Rock Oasis

I went into this trying to automate the system as much as possible for ease of maintenance

Here's the tank a few weeks into the cycle with a single clown and the CUC.

A week later I added the first coral to the tank. I choose to add some hammers and torches to the right side of the scape.

I choose to mount my controllers to the front of the electrical box for ease of access. I attached an Aqua Worx puck light to the top of stand to allow for easy viewing inside my sump.

Checking to see if you have any updates and how you are liking the system. I am in between a UNS and a Cade. Thanks!

As a former Cade owner I hated that tank. Tore it down and gave it away. It was the end of preconfigured tanks for me for sure until I saw the uns and I got sucked back in. I have an R90 and absolutely love it. The attention to detail is so good would buy it again.

does the filter roller just drop right in. Or was there some modifications needed?

There is another thread where a guy made a video with his install of the roller mat where he had to cut the glass out that held the filter sock tray which is a pretty simple job.

I got my r90 much more recently and the glass strips to hold the sock tray are now on the narrow sides and the roller mat dropped right in with 0 modification. Simplest roller mat install you will ever do!

I do wish the 3d printed adapter fit more snug into the inlet of the rollermat. I'm going to remake that part but otherwise super impressed with how simple it was.

I’d rather not get into it anymore here not my thread lol.
I have that adapter and 3D printed a plain 1 piece funnel that fits snug so I have 0 water bypassing. I’m sure UNS would have handled it for me no problem just felt like doing it myself.

I hope we get some more updates on these r90’s soon!
