Decided to start a new build thread although its going to be a slow process.

i currently have a 100g acrylic which has been up and running for a couple years and a 265g glass tank which was being converted to sw and while drilling i broke a panel soooooo. Ive decided since the 265 is wall mounted and the only way to replace or repair the glass was to take the whole tank out i may as well upgrade.

Thanks to Truvu aquariums i just received my new tanks today and i got a few pics of the unboxing

stay tuned over the next couple months i will take lots of pics of the break down of the 265 and 100 and the install of the 300 and inline frag tanks and holding

after further inspection i found this just. i dunno if it was stress or shipping damage but the top broke right next to the overflow

so i guess we will see what truvu has to say and figure that out. need time anyways to get the old tank out of the wall and get the frag tanks up and running temporaly to transfer my stuff from my 100g out into the so i can move the 100 to get to the 265. i think i need a bigger house,

Hard to say. i was already a factory second aquarium heavily discounted due to a roughed up spot on the back. which i could care less about. didnt have over flows when i bought it. i had em make the overflows and install them prior to shipping so hopefully they dont come back with something weird and say well i was custom so no deal

...well if you're not opposed to it, you could just weld the break.
looks like from the way they packed it something press down in the area hard.

yea i talked to Truvu and they said the same thing. said if i wasn't opposed to trying he would send me the materials to put a piece on the top and bottom vs sending it back and have a new top put on

...if and this is key, if you can clamp the break cleanly without a gap you will not need to sandwich the break.

yeah that tells me it was something heavy that smashed down on it in that area...
...I don't see any reason why it wont wick right into the gap, mask off the area around it... bar clamp it almost closed and apply the solvent wait 60-second and clap it tight enough not to press the soften acrylic out.

Update. Well truvu sent me some scrap 1/2" strips to apply on the top and bottom of the break, but go figure amazon lost my package so my weld on and needles never showed up. Hoping to get this done before it gets to cold. Tank is in my workshop and no heat down there

Update: 6/3/16

So we have been working on this tank since i started this thread and i have been terrible about taking pictures. But nearly a year later the tank is about 90% online most of the construction done except the trim and paint and some re routing of old elcetrcal to better suite the new stand.

Tank:
300g TruVu 14mm acryllic 96x31x24
125g no name acryllic sump 6. chamberd
2x 24x24x12 frag tanks.
(I plumbed into display and the. other for qt)

Equipment :
Reefkeepr lite w sl1 module 4x pc4 bars, mlc, .net, sl2, and twin head units

Twin waveline dc12000 return pumps

Eshopps psk300 skimmer

Twin MR1 reactors

2 x radion gen1 and 1x maxspect r420r 160w

3 channel doser

Won brothers heater and chiller controller w 1500w titanium heater probe and artica 1/2hp chiller

Think thats about it for now. Still need to match up some more radions for a reasonable price or go back to MH havent decided, prob gonna upgrade to an apex since there will be a bunch for sale soon after the new apex debacle. And wanna look into a calcium reactor and possibly starting a zeovit regimen.

Pics. (Not much in way of pre construction pics)

Previously had a marine land 265 mounted in between my.living room and office and this tank took its place. However most every thing had to be gutted and rebuilt to fit the new tank and sump
