Hi there,

I need urgent help as my reef tank care has fallen a bit in the last month, and as this is a smaller tank, everything goes much faster. And so I need urgent help on how to save my coral, though my stock is fine. I will add parameters in a moment but they were fine a couple days ago so i dont expect much change.

Thanks,
just a wrasse

Looks like your battling cyano and if those dots on the rocks are bubbly snot, possibly Dino’s. Def post your #’s and kits you are using so others can chime in. Looks like your tank could benefit from more flow. I don’t see a powerhead(s) which will help.
This and I agree more flow / snails / hermits

what test kits you using? the DKH number is worrisome. have salinity, calcium and Magnesium numbers? what's your water change schedule look like?
Red sea, raising it. I'll test cal, sal, and Mag in a moment. Water changes every other week.

something has to be off. You don't have much coral load and water changes every other week should maintain your levels. as @mdb_talon says. What is your salinity? how much are you water changing? what salt mix you using? how old is the tank?

Try to raise your alk slowly. It's already this low,but spiking it back to NSW levels in a day may add additional unwanted stress. I agree some more flow will help. A cheap sicce voyager nano pump, even would go a long way. Good luck! Also, 20ppm nitrates isn't the end of the world, but at that low an alkalinity, it's likely fueling the algae outbreak.

Bump, any tips on cyno?

Slow down cowboy.. You are riding that there horse too far to fast...

First things first. Figure out WHY your kH is so far off, and get that in line. Your issues will likely settle out on their own from there. A knee jerk reaction to battle dynos, based off an opinion you read here, is a recipe for disaster.

Get your water parameters in line and then we can discuss further steps.

Exactly what @Jedi1199 said. Trying to deal with cyano before you get your parameters under control is like putting the cart before the horse. I didn't think it was possible to get alk that low under normal circumstances. Either testing error or an ATO that dumped too much freshwater? I would say that's a reason for unhappy corals. Post all parameters when you can.

What test kit?
I'm gonna say get a turkey baster. Suck up the red cyano that you can.
Blow the rocks off with the baster. As much as you can. Be gentle around the coral.
But blow the rocks aggressively.
Finish of by
Doung a 75-90% water change. Lol.
