Click on the person's avatar and you'll be taken to the option to pm. I'm not sure on the image issues.

Not sure. I'm actually having trouble uploading with tapatalk but the r2r app works fine. I'm using iPhone 4.

I get this occasionally. I just close the app and restart it and it usually works for me.
I believe you also need X amount of posts to post in certain sections, like the selling threads.
