UV has bitten the dust, after 4 months, any recommendations on a fully submersible in display (including the pump) unit? No sump system....

Curious....as a fellow 'minimalist' do you run one? I find I have to or I get this dust type algae making an appearance with vengeance.

I have one.. got a used aqua uv for a steal! I am debating on not using it next upgrade though. Then again I was also debating not using a skimmer either.

It’s great for most dinos though if that is an issue.

I am now considering same, no skimmer. I run it a few hours a day as is. Will achieve airation through power head agitation at surface....that's the thought anyway....

90 gallon system, I've had 2 Turbo Twist, each of them lasting about 7 or 8 years each till fatal leakage. I moved to a fully submersible unit, because I wanted to get rid of the hoses required and a cleaner look that I can mostly hide behind rockwork. Bought this JUP-01 piece of junk. Bulb compartment breached with water after 4 months. I should have known better based on pricing. Anyone try this 'Green Killing Machine' ? I'm seeing mixed reviews on it online....
I usually go with a little 9watt or so unit, nothing too intense, seems to do the job over the years....
Thanks

Holy smokes! Thanks for this.... I was about to pick one up today. Not anymore. Don't want 'antimony ' in my system. Going with another brand.
