Evening dudes

The question I have is I now I have a set of hydras

So due to LEDs not putting out every little of any radiation , do sps corals actualy grow under this light or use it in any way or is it purely to bring out there colours?

Thanks for reading guys
First off, UV LEDs aren't used over fish tanks, Violet ones are (Over 400nm), and yes they would help growth as there is a photosynthetic "peak" at around 425-430nm.
They do help bring out some colors IME too, although for purely fluorescence RB's are better.

Well if uv lights are not used over fish tanks then why do my hydras have them?
