I have a lifegard 55 max and am having some questions mounting.
First I plan to mount it horizontal above my sump in and out facing up, then piping going 180 back into sump. Pump will go in skimmer pump chamber and outlet will go onto return pump chamber. Is this ok or will I have trapped air?
Jebao 8000 pump, so I plan on like 1000 gph, but I don’t know if it will make my sump run backwards? I know it will make my fuge run slower but that’s alright, maybe just hook it up and see what happens?

Running a sump with inlet on one end to skimmer then fuge to return
Any thoughts?

Hey fellow Wisconsinite here! (currently living in Phoenix)

If you go horizontal, you may want it on a slight angle with the output slightly higher. This will allow any trapped air to move up the the output side and get pushed out of the UV chamber.

As far as your sump goes, it kind of depends on the layout. In my case, I have my UV pump returning back into the same chamber as the pump that's running it. Same for my carbon reactor.
