It’s not velvet. Can you post a clear video? Also, what symptoms did the clownfish have and what is the history of this tang?

Noticed the tang changed colors a lot. Him and clown always rubbed against the filters and stuff. This tang specifically was starting to act strange and change colors looking a lot more lighter than dark.

Scratching is a primary symptom of skin flukes.

Should do prazi pro then instead of ich x? I didn’t add anything to my tank no new fish other than one anemone which is now gone and that was a while back. These fish have all been established for 2 years so it’s definitely not ich or velvet

Yes, you’ll need to use Prazipro for flukes. ich-x is pretty much useless in saltwater and doesn’t work against flukes at all.

@Jay Hemdal @fishguy242 FLUKES CONFRIMERD. Did a freshwater dip puffer 4 minutes. Doing Prazi pro now.

Sorry, I can't see them in the picture, but if you can see little gray/white ovals on the bottom, then those are Neobendenia flukes.

@Jay Hemdal on 4th or 5th day of Prazi course can purigen and uv be added back on until next dose?

You can generally use UV, chemical filtration and/or water changes 36 hours after a prazi dose, these are most effective in the first 24 hours. You then need to stop them again with subsequent doses.
