Sorry for your loss Randy, losing dogs is tough. I’m dreading that day.

Heres Annabelle - a stray that walked into my house one day and never got to leave. She’s the best dog we ever had. She was recovering after surgery in this photo

Here are my two, and yes, he has a pet rock. Also, a little humor to help.

Sorry to hear that @Randy Holmes-Farley.
We lost our little rescue cat to congestive heart failure in August.
She'd had a very hard life with being rehomed twice & subsequent health issues but I'm glad we could give her a peaceful last year.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped cheer me up with great happy pet photos and comments. The house is emptier today, but we move on. :)

Had to take our 17 year old beagle (Fran) to the vet this morning for euthanasia. Long downward spiral, followed by not eating or drinking the past couple of days.

I know how many reefers also have dogs. perhaps folks can post photo's of their happy dogs to make this a cheerier day. :)

This is a picture of her (left) and another beagle we had for many years (Jake) on the right taken years ago as they sunbathed on our back patio.
