As mentioned by Eagle Steve, we have 3 over a 180 too. A good rule of thumb with these are 1 every 24x24, we like 90% ch1 and 20% on ch2

If you have wall to wall front to back coral and are not able to mount them more than 16'' - 20'' above the water you will want 2 per 24x24. I had 4 of these on the 120g 4x2 tank and it covered very well. I moved down to a 90g and only have two lights and they are inadequate covering the 18'' front to back. Mounted 10'' above water.

When you say inadequate what makes you say that? Curious. I have three on my 6 ft 125, and have probably too much par in corners for what I like! I am about them about 13 inches off water

Monti's on sides slowly start losing color. Zoas in the front and back stretching up. Dont need a par meter to tell you those need more light. I guess it could be that they are not getting as much light as they were used to before in the 120 which is very obvious. Maybe they will get used to it and eventually be back to normal but as of now they are not happy.

Can't speak for everyone else, but I run mine from 2pm to 9pm. Currently acclimating up to the 80% blue and 40% white setting. Guys who use lower settings run them a lot longer though.

No matter what brand 5 to 6 hours peak lighting is all the corals can absorb. So most set up lighting for their viewing pleasure.

These are strong lights and a
Can grow anything well. If your having issues it's generally your fault. Light hieght and intensity are critical for spread of par and coverage.It is a balancing act not everyone has mastered. I get away with 8% B. And 1% W for LPS with an amazing 210g tank.

Interesting! That’s not my experience at all. I have way to much light and 2 per 24x24 would be WAY too much overkill. Unless turned way down.

can you guys share pics of your tanks? I can’t imagine how you can keep anything other than some super easy euphylia / nems / softies / or low light lps under the low settings being recommended.
This pic is the 120 under 4 fixtures run at 100 blue and 60 white.

Yes, you definitely don't need hardly any light to grow that stuff.
