Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but if I have a wall opening and wanted to put a tank right in between the opening, I would first have to know if the wall can support the load. My question is that how can I figure it out? I could get a structural engineer to check it out but is their a way for me to find out by myself? Tank will be a 4 foot x 1 foot x 15 inches. I think in pounds with water that'll be roughly 500 lbs.

No, you'll have to build support into the wall to support a tank. Walls aren't designed to carry such heavy loads over such a short length.

Frame the opening right and it will hold one end of any size tank you want. You'll need additional support for whichever end is not bearing on the wall.

You're going to have to build some kind of stand .,. Can't balance a 12in wide tank on a two by four ... LoL
You can Build the stand so it's independent of the wall
