I have found that with the higher end acros the more blue light you give them the better coloration your will get. It also helps if you can dial in your trace elements as this will help with pigment production

I ask because I have a 2 month old 1/2" green blob WD. It's just now looking like the polyps are maybe going to be a yellow or orange when under 20k blue, but it still is a green blob. At least the base is encrusted 1/4" or more all around, when I got it I dipped in Bauer and cut off the original frag plug. I am sure I traumatized it and made it ugly longer. Will 400 par also be enough?

Well I finally found a deal on a WD and now I'm apart of the club. It hasn't done much yet. I just sits there. LOL.

Its still green after 3 months. Wow. The tips look like on the left pic that there was a little orange in it.

Maybe a touch of orange and some blue/purple. I had it in quarantine with not enough light for a month. Only one kessil over a 40 breeder. Now it's under 8 bulb t5 and 2 kessils. I really do feel like it wants to start getting more color in this past week or so, we shall see! I know it has good lineage, but it was just a wee little frag when I purchased it (about 3/4 inch). Good news is I see 3 more "branches" starting to grow, so that's encouraging.
