Some new captive bred additions. I believe tank parameters are in a stable spot. Started 2 part dosing last week (very small amt) and keeping an eye on alk, Calc, and phosphates. Refugium is definitely keeping nutrients in check.

Well, the clam unfortunately had a hinge that was damaged and didn't make it. Meantime, my torches have been grumpy. Turns out it was flatworms. Treated with dip and they look much happier. The refugium is starting to consume too much nitrate which is making my chalice mad. Time to trim away some Gracilaria and lower the sump photo period!

Been a while. The tank is finally stable after a lot of ups and downs. I swapped to All for Reef about a month and a half ago and it's been very easy to keep things happy. Went through a Dino outbreak after dosing Vibrant but have since stopped.
Picked up some sweet beginner acros and will mount them today or tomorrow. Update with pics when I can.
Swapped my gracilaria with chaeto. Not as big a fan but it's doing an OK job on my phosphates.

These two short spine urchins I got have been a godsend. They never stop working. Not much coralline, but I'm ok with that.

Acros are still doing great and I am noticing ever so slight growth. Added a few fish- Hector's goby, Pinkbar Goby, pistol shrimp, Midas blenny. Hoping to up my nitrate load with the fish. Tested iodine and potassium; potassium was good but iodine undetectable. Continuing to dose iodine and monitor.

I will try to update this thread more frequently...life's been wild and I haven't had much time to update.

Lots of changes in the tank - took out chaeto and swapped for gracilaria again. Acros are coloring up again after a recent drop in nitrates. Bubble algae almost completely eradicated.

Avatar chalice doing well. Big eater. Growing off the plug. I plan to give it the entire corner.

Been a while since any updates.
Alk consumption is finally going up after Vibrant nuked my microbiome. Corals are growing nicely (other than the Garf Bonsai, which hasn't done much since I got it in March). The rest of the acros have good color and slow but steady growth. I'm happy they're still doing well.

Added frags of:
-Red planet
-green slimer

Picking up some frags this Thursday:
-Z's Prize (pics online are few and far between but one day I hope to frag)
- CC Plutonium Tenuis (wanted to try a tenuis)
-CC Dark Knight Stag
- Copps Cali Cali stag (BC pics look beautiful)
-CC Needle in a Haystack (one of the first corals I ever bought - died of course because I was arrogant newbie - tank is much more stable now so I think it should work out)
CC Cherries Jubilee Chalice (love the pattern on this!)

My torches from @CCK_8814 are still thriving. My clown has taken up residence in the cotton candy and the NY Knicks split a head not long ago. I'm surprised, but it seems very happy on the sandbed.

Clown loves this torch, and the torch doesn't seem to mind. This clown killed an octospawn so I'm glad the torch tolerates it. I've seen growth since hosting began

Plexaura flexuosa. Every tank needs a gorgonian.
Beautifull! Wish I could take pics like that. I have 2 gorgonians in my 20g nano cube. They have full extention like yours but your pics are just plain awesome. Mine not so much, lol. I agree everyone should habe one!.

I have a 6 year old clown and frogspawn. The frogspawn does not mind and continues to grow.

If it makes you feel better, I take plenty of bad pics on this phone. I usually go to "pro mode" and adjust the white balance and shutter speed when I want a better pic, but sometimes they come out blurry still. I also have a lens kit from Orphek which I use occasionally

Frags are here safe and sound - the tenuis is highlighter bright! Keeping them here a week to get used to flow and lighting system then mounting. I am considering removing that large Halle Berry zoa colony off that rock for some real estate

I suspect my peppermints have been snacking on this wall hammer. As I got the piece for a great price I'm gonna have to banish the two peppermints to the sump.

Put a piece of frozen shrimp and made a trap with a spare bottle I had laying around. The trap seems to have success here on r2r so I'm hoping it's successful overnight.

No dice with attempt 1 - I think the bottle made them nervous and maybe they were unfamiliar with the scent of frozen shrimp. Will try again tonight with a smaller bottle and some pe mysis.
