Attempt 2 successful! Relocated the shrimp to the sump. There's aiptasia down there for them to snack on. Hopefully the hammer will recover ok.

Made a large scape adjustment to give the acros some room for vertical growth.

Getting a 24" Quanta Pro Tropic Sun bar that should arrive Thursday. Should be a nice small bump in par and spectrum. Hoping the acros like. Will start at 1hr a day and ramp up to 3-4.

Added my new Quanta Pro from @Lousybreed. Love the daylight spectrum. These things pack a serious punch with great spread. I am hoping my acros enjoy the supplemental daylight spectrum. Planning on starting these at 30min a day and eventually ramping up to around 3hrs during peak period. Have em plugged into a Wyze plug so I can make a schedule. My fish look great. I do eish there was an easier way to mount to my existing ficture but some black mending plate and screws will likely do the trick. The lights came with a Detroit Tigers card and a nice short message which I thought was a great personalized touch. They are well built and the cord is very long which i really appreciate.

Frag farmer red robin was underneath a pile of zoas and lost some pigmentation. Now that it's remounted, it's slowly regaining its rich red color.

The red planet is getting a rich plum color with a minty green base. I am seeing some sideways growth. I think with the Quanta it should get redder, but I love the contrast.

I need to kill that aiptasia. It refuses to die, lol.

Everything growing in nicely! Nitrates are still high but i have increased water changes and started to run Matrix in my sump. F-Aiptasia took care of a lot of my pests. I have a feeling when i get my bitrates down i will see better sps growth, but the green slimer in particular is doing great (no surprise there).

Stuff growing in nicely. Still battling a GHA issue which is likely from my nitrates. Only a few acros aren't doing much. I plan on slowly lowering my nutrients but don't want to shock anything. Lot of aiptasia on that rock. I should take care of that.

Thank you! Man, talk about a comedy of errors for the first year. As soon as I stopped changing stuff every 5 seconds stuff started growing in. Go figure.
Hey sometimes it's a simple solution to fix something haha

Did a 10% water change and cleaned /filtered my sump. It had become clogged with hair algae. I had let maintenance slip a bit. Next project is to redo refugium with some red gracilaria once it's back in season. Money is a bit tight right now, so appreciating what I have.

Thanks! Took a long time to get it stable. I think if I hadn't had earlier setbacks it'd be twice as grown in. Oh well...live and learn
Seems like your aiptasia aren't too bad but a cursory look at the creatures in your tank it seems like berghia nudis would do quite well in there if you find them locally which is becoming easier and easier these days!

That's the one biological method I haven't tried yet. They seem to be sold out whenever I look, and the adults aren't cheap. I should check in Marketplace or something

You seem a particularly good candidate given your fish and all the rock. The annoying part is you really want at least 5 or 6 adults and that can run like 100 bucks. Lfs have been getting them in more frequently though as they start getting commercially farmed, so I'd just keep an eye out since you aren't overwhelmed rn.

Just some growth pics. Got some Gracilaria back in the sump after a deep clean. It's really grown in quickly. I'll have to get some pictures tonight once the refugium comes on. Stuff continues to grow well.

Torches were looking grumpy so I ran some tests and mag was down to 1100. Dosed over the course of a few days up to about 1250-1300 and the torches look much happier.
