Thank you for posting this. You help solve a couple of issue with my ATO setup. One; I found the float from you video and Two; went to the website that you posted for tanks and found the perfect tank for my setup. I have been have a over flow issue. I will own the of for getting to turn off the RO/DI when the alarm goes off and I get distracted.

Keith, great video. Thanks for posting. I have a question though. If I understand your setup correctly, you pump water out of your sump and into the slop sink. Then you replenish the sump from your saltwater reservoir. If that is the case, then you water change volume is limited by how much water you can pump out of your sump. Is that correct?

Many thanks. You have it right. My sump is 74 gallons so technically I can do a very large water change if I drained it but I am actually limited to about a 50 gallon water change since my saltwater makeup drum is just over that amount (55 gallons). However, I can do multiple water changes over consecutive days or even in the same day if it is necessary (I use ESV salt and it mixes up clear very quickly).

Very nice and clean setup! Too bad electric valves are so dang expensive that you still need someone there to turn the valves. I have a similar system myself that I can do water changes being away from home for a month in France. My system uses a gravity feed for draining the water out of the system.

Oh the only curious thing about the video that caught my eye was the installation of the bulkheads. Not sure if you had 2 gaskets but normally the ones I buy only comes with one gasket and it should always be installed on the wet side. No biggie just didn't want people to get confused.

I believe they are Mag Drive 9.5 pumps......I have had them for a very long time!
