I know I need two vortech or two tunzes but I cant afford them. I would like to randamize the flow a bit. I am looking at magnums on some timers? I have a reeflow dart running up over the back out of two 1.5 inch pipes down into the tank at full power and two modded maxijets running along the back and the other across the front. I am new to this, so I am hoping I can figure out my options. I have sps pieces in my tank and they seem fine. I worry about a algae outbreak because lack of flow.

WOW someone near my hometown! hehe I grew up in Wilmore, between Portage and Ebensburg. i think i dated a check from vinco. haha how old are you?

if your worried about algae, do you have any now? if not i wouldnt be too worried, but a few magnums would certaintly help with flow. i had vortechs and tunze and they are great pumps, very pricey too. save up and i'd bet you can find a one or 2 used at a decent price

I am 35 now I think. I just moved here from westmont almost two years ago. Westmont was giving me a hard time running my business out of my home so I moved. Give my tax money to someone who wants it.

Theres small amounts of algae here and there.

I have a friend in Indiana that had a friend selling two tunze 6100 and a controller for 300.00 but I havent heard back from him yet. So Now I am looking at my alternatives. I am thinking two mag 8s on a reef keeper light? Alternating them back and forth.
