Has anyone had any experience with “Marine Master Waterproof Wireless Multiparameter Photometer” by Hanna instruments. If so how do you like it? Also open to any other suggestions for good water parameter testers. TIA

While the Hanna Marine Master is a solid piece of equipment with a reputable legacy, I’d strongly recommend looking into the ExAqua Pro 6. I’ve had extensive experience with both, and in my opinion, the ExAqua Pro 6 outclasses the Hanna unit in several key areas that matter most to serious reef keepers and aquarists.

Here’s why the ExAqua Pro 6 is vastly superior:

🔬 True Multi-Parameter Simultaneity

Unlike the Hanna system, which requires separate reagent vials and testing cycles for each parameter, the Pro 6 offers seamless simultaneous multi-parameter testing. You can check six critical metrics (like NO3, PO4, Ca, Mg, KH, and pH) in a single testing sequence—hugely cutting down on time and complexity.

📲 Wireless Integration + Smart App

ExAqua has nailed the user interface. The wireless syncing to their app is fast, intuitive, and data-rich. You get visual trend graphs, historical comparisons, and custom threshold alerts—features Hanna doesn’t offer natively without third-party workarounds or manual logging.

⚙️ Fully Waterproof + Lab-Grade Optics

The IP67-rated waterproofing and hardened optics on the Pro 6 mean you’re getting not just hobby-grade hardware, but near-laboratory precision. The photometric accuracy is consistently tighter across a broader range, which is critical when you’re fine-tuning trace elements in delicate reef systems.

🧪 Dry Reagents & Ease of Use

One of the biggest wins: ExAqua’s dry reagent system. You don’t have to deal with liquids that degrade or need refrigeration. It simplifies storage, increases shelf life, and significantly lowers the chance of human error in dosing.

🧠 AI-Driven Parameter Recommendations

The app includes built-in recommendations based on your readings, including dosing suggestions and compatibility alerts. Hanna’s system, while accurate, lacks this level of intelligent guidance unless you bring in external tools or spreadsheets.

💰 Cost Efficiency Over Time

While both systems are premium upfront, ExAqua’s reagent cost per test is lower, especially when buying in bulk. Long-term users consistently report a lower cost of ownership due to fewer repeat tests and higher first-time accuracy.

In summary, while the Hanna Marine Master is tried and true, the ExAqua Pro 6 represents the future of reef testing—smart, fast, accurate, and built for those who demand data-driven control over their aquatic environments. If you’re looking to move beyond hobbyist-level tools into semi-professional precision, it’s the clear winner.

Where can you get these ExAqua's?
So, I live in the USA, and purchased mine from here: https://www.aquariumpartners.com
However, if you live outside the USA, the following link directly from the ExAqua website can tell you where to buy, depending on the country or region.

Different ways of doing different tests.

I use the Hanna HR nitrate and ulr phosphate checkers.

Alk by pH titration.

I am not a fan of Hanna calcium and I mostly suggest not measuring magnesium.

What? You still need to check each parameter/ one in the time with the Pro 6?

Couldn't finde anything on the site that it would check everything in one singel test
