Hello everyone,
Hope you are all having a great weekend.
I have a water polishing question. My aquarium is a UNS 35A and I am using using a media tower. The first two chambers are a course then a fine sponge filter. I clean them about every 3 days or so and they really pick up a lot of gunk.
But... I always have small particles swirling around in the water. It is kinda unsightly and almost makes the water look hazy.
What type of filter material could I use to pick up those tiny particles?

Could those particles actually be microbubbles, which are tiny air bubbles caused by your filter or return pump?

Not micro bubbles, I thought that at first too. It almost looks like sand particles in the water.
I added poly filter pad to the filter tower but it hasn't made any difference.
I know some of the larger particles are copepods. When I turn off the flow I can watch them swim around.
There are no fish in the tank right now as they are in QT and have been for 5 weeks. Could the copepod population just be that large without fish to control them?

The Marineland Magnum Polishing Filter will remove any particles the human eye can see. Most effective is if you load it with diatomaceous earth. There are videos on how to do this on YouTube.
