So tested water today and I had 0 nitrite and ammonia but still showing 20ppm Nitrate even after 50% water change. Is this normal for new tank? Should I do another 5 gallon change today or wait a week?

I never even tested nitrite but my nitrate has stayed in that range after the cycle. I have seen most people don't even test nitrates at all after cycling, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I hit send before finishing typing. Thanks for the info because I went with the same biocube stand
I will admit the other stand that was mentioned by John Bolden would be what I get if I could. No issues with ever so slight overhang like this jbj. And it is only few bucks more. See previous posts on page 2 if u haven't purchased yet

Well ill be was sitting at my desk in the dark, playing some ps4. I look over and see some life in the tank already. I got 3 little snails, no idea what kind yet so tiny. But they are white and cleaning on glass. I think they may be asteria( spiral like shells?) Sadly I also found what appears to be a baby bristle worm. If i remember those are bad right? Nabbed him with some tweezers and chucked em. This is why I like sw tanks, u can just observe lol

Where did you get the lid from?? I need one for my cube
Kraken reef. A bit pricey but glad I went with it. Nice flush fit for tank. They custom made so took about 2 weeks to get to me. But u can get different options like the feeding circle and a cup to hold frozen food.

So little update. Got my refuge going we shall see how that works out. Did what Wilson1985 did and cut some of the black film off the back glass and connected the fuge light from innovative marine to it. I finally found chaeto off ebay and so far no melt or degradation. Also haven't added anything to tank yet but think soon. Also in second picture is this diatom bloom? My light is already at 60% from 7 to 5.
