Everything is doing great actually! I honestly did not weigh the rock. We just have 2 large brutes full of rock that we had bleach cured from old tanks. It was pressure washed and sun dried for a week then stored for this build. Once we had drew out dimensions on the cardboard, we just started building to what we liked. There is definitely a lot less in weight then gallons if that’s what your trying to go by. We have added 5 more decent pieces in the sump to cycle for 4 months before we bring them up to the display for more shelf’s and surface area. I have come to realize that I need more shelf’s and flat surfaces for acros.Looking good so far?
Any idea how much rock you used?
I think it was money well spent. As far as buzzing/vibrating noise there is none. Can you tell when the skimmer is on and your u set the cabinet, yes. But that’s just because of the water swooshing around in the chamber. With the doors closed you can not hear a thing. How you like the Regal Skimmer? How is it noise wise? Any audible buzzing/vibration etc?
Thanks! Now I'm considering it. Just want something that is quiet.I think it was money well spent. As far as buzzing/vibrating noise there is none. Thank you! It has been a long work in progress and I still have a few more things to add.love your set up and equipment choices. I recently upgraded to a 6026 peninsula and I have my eye on adding a calcium reactor soon. First thoughts were either a Geo 612 or 618. Your 618 is swaying me in that direction. I'm also really looking at the dastaco and deltec. This will be my first shot at a calcium reactor and just really hoping for the most reliable and reasonably simple set up to get me through the learning stages. And I definitely don't want to have to upgrade so trying to pick wisely.
