I just bought a 6025 and had two questions, still liking the Klir filters, and does the mp40 hold on your 19mm glass? Thanks

So.... complete honestly about the Klirs. For me it is a love hate relationship. For the most part I do love them. They filter well, they rotate as they should and they pull a lot of extra garbage out of the water. The cons, of you have any little snails that get into the sump they will tear the paper. So I am always checking on mine. The rolls are a pain in the butt to replace after the Klir has been in use for some time. Mostly because because all of the waste that accumulates on the rollers. With the waterbox cabinet, it’s a tight squeeze to get them in and out. So... do I think they are better the socks, absolutely. Do I wish the sump allowed for a different roller mat option yes. I hope this helps you.
The MP40’s do hold on the 3/4” glass no problem with the thinnest spacer. However, with my tank being SPS dominant I have as much flow as the sticks will tolerate and I was running the 40’s at 95%. The dry sides became extremely hot. With my previous smaller 1/2” glass tank at the same speed they did not. So my only thought would be that maxed out on thickness, and at that speed the magnets are working super hard to perform. I had to back them down to 80%. If I did not just have the 40’s laying around I would have put 60’s in their place.

Thanks, sounds like should just pony up for the 60's...I really would like to add filter rolls because I hate socks but I may just wait a little and change out sumps to a Geosreef. I'm assuming I could get them to modify the intake drains for the metric pipes.

Waterbox is standard plumbing. The return plumbing is 1” and the 2 overflow pipes are 1 1/4”. That is good thinking on the Geo sump! I wish I would have thought of that.

Can you give me the current dimensions of the sump that is in there?

Can you check and see if a 32x23x15 would fit? Possibly the door hinges will be in the way?
Yes it would. 32 looks like it would be a little tight with the hinges on but it is easy to remove them if it didn’t fit.

Do you mean 23"? The sump you have is 32 1/4x19 3/4x15 3/4. I want to know if a 32x23 will fit.

That electrical cabinet is next level. I've been eyeing this tank (or a similar sized one from CDA) for some time now. Convincing the fiance to let me have a 2nd tank is going to be hard...

Thank you, it was a pain in the butt with all the wire management in the back. WB makes a great tank, so if you do choose to go with them you will not be disappointed.

@geo, you think it is possible to make a sump that size with a AFR? If so, sign me up.
I already have a prototype built and is shipping out to @ReefDudes next week. You will be able to see it on his YouTube and see him installing it and a review.

UPS strikes again. Tank was scheduled for delivery on Monday took time off work so I would be home and of course they didn’t come or call. After the purposed delivery time had passed I called and they confirmed that the tank was still sitting on the docks and would be deliver next day. We received the tank last night and like a little kid a Christmas I started going to work.
I have only seen a few people on here with this style tank and I have talked to several people who have questions on what the cabinet looks like on the inside as well as sump design and so forth. I figured I would take as many detailed pictures as possible for others looking into this style of tank or interested.

I noticed that Waterbox does not include detailed instructions like other cabinets I have seen. But if you have assembled cabinets like this before it’s all the same.

As I stated at the start of this thread, the plan was to bring the tank out from the wall and make flush with the small room divider wall and place a equipment cabinet between the tank and wall for all my apex and drivers. I wasn’t sure if the cabinet space under the tank would be sufficient for a controller and the calcium reactor. I decided to wait and purchase the equipment cabinet until the tank was assembled and had a better look. Ordering that equipment cabinet today, it will have the same design as the one I build for my Red Sea.

Another question that arose was the look of the return plumbing. I am looking to hard plumb the return pump. However Waterbox has all their plumbing preassembled with a hose barb and the tanks come with the flex hose. I contacted Waterbox and they stated that they receive all their plumbing pre-glued so there is no way for them to send me a new piece that does not have a barb. So now to the drawing board to see how I can remove the barb and glue without compromising the “T” fitting.

All that is left is to get the man power over to get the tank from the garage into the next room and then I can start the plumbing.

My 7725 is coming in two weeks, and your posts have been extremely useful to see more details about the design. Thanks so much for posting!

Can I ask whether the hose barb sits in a DN25 pipe? I will also take the barb out and start plumbing from there.

Yes it does. You have to be very careful when heating up the PVC to remove it so you do not damage that piece.
