Weird Cartilage looking tubes in tank

Hi, my tank is around 2 years old, and these weird things have been growing slowly for a while and I never thought anything of it. Today I decided to remove them and they almost felt and looked like tendon when split. Would love to know what they are, thanks !

My first thought would be a Codium species macroalgae.
