Can anyone tell me what this is? We read it could be a Aphasia Anemone. And those don't seem good. It's growing on a macro alge plant we got from Alge Barn I believe.

Side note, there looked to be a white centipede looking critter on this same plant when we got it, I inquired with them and they said it was no big deal and part of what's considered "clean up crew"..

The best way I can describe this thing is it looks like a tube anemone but alot smaller and attached to the macro alge plant..

ThiS IS A PEST ANEMONE KNOWN AS APTASIA.Hopefully there is only one but generally if there is one, there are more. They come in as hitchhikers.
Oops- sorry for the caps on lock.
Removal is simple:
Using a syringe or pipette, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Wow thanks for the quick reply. Can I pull the plant out and cut that thing off? We have looked but haven't seen any others..

Although, from time to time I keep feeling like I can see what looks like a transparent zoa with pronounced tentacles on some eagle eye zoas.. its only there sometimes, or maybe when they are all open..
