Latest score! $60 for some lovely rock. Way more than I need.

Some really nice scape options. Going to have a go tomorrow with a hammer and chisel, some epoxy and hydraulic cement.

Goal is to have three large columns. Looks like it won't be to hard!

Rocks look great and a nice steal for them. Can't wait to see them in the tank wet. Looks like the dog think he's got a doggie house. Lol

sweet almost there. have you used the ocean blend coral vibrance? got some from a friend and havent tried it yet.

I have not. The place that had the pump on clearance also had some interesting additives and food for half price. I finally have enough coral in holding that I thought I should try something to feed the tank at night.

Went to see my nephew get his eagle scout yesterday so not much work done on the build this weekend :(

Screwed the newly cut down sides back on and am starting to lay on the vinyl plank. Definitely glad I picked up the $10 coupon heat gun from Harbor Freight. It's totally necessary to get it to lay flat.

I really love the way it is turning out! Very realistic in person.

Tonight I got two of my three columns done. Sorry about the dark pictures but I didn't want to move them until they set.

The last one will be a bit of a challenge as I messed up the rock inwantedbtonuse for it. I'll have to assemble it a bit like Humpty Dumpty.

It's hard to see the detail in the pictures but the rocks are all super. Several types of skeletons.

Looks awesome , I've read bad things about hydraulic cement breaking down over time in salt water And people have had to completely disassemble. I hope it works out for you , can't wait to see it wet

Ok! Rock scape complete.Finished the third column structure and cherry picked some loose pieces to place around the base. Those will be messed with. Going to get it all loaded in a tub or cooler tomorrow and start cycling!

It's so hard to take pictures of rock scape.

There is also the option of pushing them together to form one island if that looks better once everything is in the tank. Something like this.

You could use this as your Refugium. Since your sump won't have a spot for macro. I just installed one a few days ago on my tank.

That is so neat!

I was thinking about doing a algae turf scrubber like this in the sump. Would it make sense to have both? I was also looking at the chaeto sandwich thread...

Current plan is to plumb pretty much like this picture, running the scrubber off a manifold on my return line with a couple extra ports for later.
