My first take is literally just algae, taking over the tissue. It’s still spreading like wildfire so not so much concerned just curious for knowledge.

It's growing. They grow up and not down. Congrats its happy

Thanks man. I meant specifically them green bits - It’s not like furry like hair algae but that’s my first guess.

I presume as it gets stronger it will overtake the green ?

New growth looks different from mature.
