Was dosing Bionic 2 part C-ALK w/ dosing pump 6× daily, today just changed to 24× daily bc alk was clogging. Hopefully this will correct the problem . Will keep yal in the know.

Keep your thumb on the ridge of your refractorwhile cleaning and rinsing, anything can cause it to get out of adjustment just a slight tap from the plastic cover be careful while openingand closing it. I re-calibrate every time I check. But feel it's the most reliable so far.

Using calibration solution to calibrate my Hydrometer made a big difference for me!

Make sure that the screw is tight before calibrations and I always flush my pipette with clean water after every check to make sure there is no salt residue left in it for the next test. I also leave the bottle of test solution in the back overflow chamber for 20 minutes or so to match temps with tank before recalibration. I'm just crazy like that..Lol

Put a camera on a good spot so when you go out of town you can see feedings and fish activities. This video is from my phone but the camera is a retired ring camera I rigged up with a filter lens from a $5 pair of reef glasses from a reef show here in town a couple years ago. Anyways this is my favorite view, my happiest place in the house.

Agreed -- short of an equipment malfunction or leak, maintaining salinity seems like the easiest (important) thing to maintain,,, yet we see a lot of salinity problem posts.

FWIW, I'm in the Tropic Marin Precision Hydrometer camp.
*not saying it's best way to go about it but easiest that I trust (for me)
