I'm a zoa guy, but have have a little of most types of coral. My sps tank is my favorite though. I have a collection lagoon tank for as many different zoas as I can fit in it. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I think gonis are next as they are getting easier to propagate.

Those are Jason fox stargazers. My wife actually wanted them because she said they looked like flowers as well!

I prefer sticks with interesting details that require up-close inspection to notice. They don't need to have special names or cost a ton, they just need to be interesting.

My wife is uncultured swill who only appreciates things that move with water flow and are visible from 30' away.

To each, his (/her) own.

My reefs about as mixed as it gets for a 20 gallon (NPS, SPS, LPS, and softies) but I find I like Acros the most lately since you get a lot of satisfaction when they grow and color up.

There are so many awesome sticks I would love to have but are over my budget per frag.
I’ve debated this for a while, and curious if anyone else has thought or tried this. But I love acros and “higher end” sticks are sweet. I have a tank full of cool “normal” sticks, and keep thinking maybe I should pony up for 1 really high end one (now that I know all my tank is doing well… knock on wood…), then grow it out to frag as my trading stock for other high end sticks. It would take a while, but basically one high end coral could eventually fill a tank with tons of high end coral.

So surprised to see sps in the lead by a lot! I only have a few on top since you basically need a sps dominant tank to support them and I love corals that have movement!

I voted mushrooms but was a huge toss up between them and zoas and only because I am collecting them at the moment for my softie frag tank and I have collected more zoas then mushrooms but still on the lookout!

I'm a simple man, nothing better than some branching GSP.

OH WOW! Never knew there was a such thing! I love purple gsp on the back of glass and after it fills in all you see are the green centers and looks like twinkling neon lights on the back wall! I strated to do that several times but coraline won out!

I think I am going to try it on my small 20 gallon! I got the idea seeing them cover a statue with it at my lfs. I have never seen it done but thats what I imagine it would look like because thats what the statue looked like!
