I have had this tank running for 6 months or so and i have only added trochus, nassarius, mexican turbo, and carribean turbos. What are these snails should i be worried? They only come out at night in one small area, are they bad snails? Should i be worried? I had planned on leaving them and finding out, but no there is one on the shell of a mexican turbo on the opposite side of the tank.

Looks like banded trochus babies to me.
Are they good guys or should i be worried iv been worried they are some wierd type of bumblebee snails
I’m not a snail expert. But you did say you’ve added trochus snails to your tank. They are known to reproduce in people’s tanks. Their shells look a LOT like banded trochus snails to me. I’m not familiar with other snails that have this pattern, so hopefully an expert can weigh in.

But if these are banded trochus, then I would consider yourself one of the lucky people who have these snails reproduce in their tank. They will eat algae and their small size means they can get into tighter crevices, so kind of a win-win.

Im going with collonista snail. I like them.
Are they naturally occurring? They dont look like any other snails i know and they are tiny they havent grown since i noticed them on one rock. Now they are hitching a ride on my turbo? Is that normal or are they just desperate for algea? My tank is mostly perfect besides the corline and a touch of brown slime algea. My turbos have out done everything so i dont want to loose them.

They do reproduce in aquariums by themselves if thats what youre asking. They stay small like you see. I've seen them referred to as mini trochus snails. I'm not sure if theres a particular reason theyre on the turbo. I've seen snails ride other snails. Im sure if your other snails will have enough to eat, these guys can find something to eat too. Even if you can't see it.
