Man, I bought some zoa frags and inspected them and keep them in a seprate tank for a about a week. Dipped with Coral RX and did a H202 dip too. Now about a 2 weeks later I am taking macro photos in my tank and first off notice some Aptasia! I took the frags out removed the plugs if they had any aptasia. I cut away any healthy polyps and tossed any that had aptasia on them or in between the polyps. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I found them early enough.
Now I am diligently inspecting these frags (or what's left of them) and I notice some algae of course and some filaments. At first I thought it was algae or just some hairs from the CA glue I used to mount. On closer inspection, I don't know what they are, but they for sure have stalks and some sort of tentacles. They are whipsy thin (you can see the size of the closed Zoa for reference. I only see them on a few of the frags and I hate to toss even more, but what are these and need I care?
