Im still using the previous version of the Tunze. Never had any issues with it at all. Tried the apex neptune route, just constant problems. I havent tried the new version of the Tunze.

I’ve always been a find the right tool and never look back kind of guy, and the Tunze ATO never made me question that decision.

That said, I can’t help but wonder if, over that time, new options have emerged that are cheaper or offer more features, and I’m simply overlooking them.

I recently used the XPaqua sumpless ATO2 in a build and it beat my expectations on a few fronts.

Well said.

I was so sold on Tunze due to multiple past experiences with it never failing me. I was upset when they updated the design, but so far I’m also liking the new nano 3 model recently purchased. I did a bit of research but still IMO nothing had the combination of features I was looking for like the Tunze. I am interested in trying an integrated design like the hydros triple eye setup. Would be cool to have the connectivity and potential to be alerted wirelessly.

Will try to get photos in the evening.

It's a simple solenoid hooked up to apex.

There is a float switch (safety #1) that tells apex when level drops. Apex runs the ATO program during day hours every 3 hours for max 4 minutes each time (safety #2) or until safety switch-1 or safety switch-2 (safety #3) says ENOUGH!

At the end of the line there is a float valve that cuts off the flow of water should everything else fail and the sump level is too high. (safety #4)

There is safety #5 but for the sake of this discussion we'll leave it at that or people will call me crazy.

Edited :: because I missed one of the safeties in place

I promised to update with pics. System runs off pressurized 14 Gallon RO tank that is also used for drinking water. Controlled by an APEX (or 2 😉)

It's been in use for over 2 years, tops off multiple systems and has more safeties that anything on the market 🤣

These two float switches are responsible for ATO operations on my 269 Gallon Tank

Here is the back end in the "control room" supplying aforementioned tank. Met all my expectations and comes with lifetime warranty on MY labor. 😉
