Hi everyone,

Just set up a new Peninsula max nano with some natural dry rock. Been running for a week and just noticed this tiny flourescent green dot in the rock work. It almost looks like a tiny strand of Gsp. I know it’s impossible to ID with the picture taken, but guesses are welcome. I’m just going to watch it carefully so it’s not a pest that will take over the rock work. I can easily cover it with superglue.

You don't give much to go on, any notes on behavior, extension, motility, texture, hardness, or an actual picture? Makes an ID possible rather than just a guess.

This is what happens when you let it go wild:

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
lol I’m joking!
The rock in my pic is a glow in the dark rock, likely chemically treated.

I have no idea what is this fluorescent dot you have in your tank, and I doubt anyone will without any additional information about it.

Did I guess correctly? Do we win any prizes for correct guesses?

Like a strand of Gsp is as much as I can describe atm.

I tried with the white lights at first, but only shows up flourescent. I’ll just dab it with super glue.

I presume it's too late, but you mean it's fluorescent green, forked, soft but coming out of a tougher purple mat, that it flows in the current and retracts when touched?

There's a lot that can be done with a description (or at least a lot ruled out), but an in focus, reasonably lit picture is sort of the standard starting point.
