So funny! I ALSO started wanting an octopus!!
Anyhow- I own a wood fired pizza shop in Vermont. 18 years now. I have wanted to get into SW since I was 17, and now at 47 have the ability to sink all my pizza money into a tank! Lol I just have a simple 40gal Nuvo Fusion, and I love it.

My wife and I are both accountants [I do general accounting for a private jet management company, and she does Internal Audit for a large corporation]. We recently sold our house and are in an apartment now, but will be going big when we move in to our next house.

Local 12 plumber , Got in to saltwater after having a PE ( pulminary Embolisim ) which almost killed me . It put me in a heck of a slump . I thought ..... well this is it . Then my wife told me to start a tank . I started to feel good after doing it . It gave me a purpose
I feel your pain,,been there 3 times ,, gone and back..thats not something to experience once,,,live life on your feet every day..

I work for a small mitigation company. Mainly deal with CEQA, restoration plans, and land acquisition.
I am also going beck to school to get my masters in environmental planning.
got into the hobby in middle school by asking my mom to go look at chameleons. I didn't even want one to be honest just wanted to look haha then I saw my first frag tank. I have been a coral junkie ever since.

Semi-retired OTR truck driver. As you can imagine, I didn't do much fish keeping being out on the road for a month or two at a time. Currently looking for something a little closer to home. eBay pays the bills.

1F3F46EA-772B-45BC-A2B5-382D01A8538A.jpeg I work for Orkin Pest Control. I got the bug about 15 yrs ago when I was in the Airforce stationed at Scott AFB. As a lowly A1C I couldn’t afford much. So some of my dates with my girlfriend at the time who became my wife was to walk through LFS and than IHOP for dinner. She ended up getting me all my tanks for birthday or Christmas. My 75 reef was a Christmas present back in 2015. She got it for me in October so I could have fish in it by Christmas.

Software systems designer, I oversee complex business solutions, processes and databases - this includes programming.

So perfectly normal that I would want a hobby that is complex!

Maintenance Technician for ion implanters in a semiconductor factory. My wife got me a tank for a gift. It was fresh water, but that is all it took. My current tank has been setup for 2 years now.
