ye probably, but my eyes are on a black clown goby and a clownfish mainly lol (which petco does have)
I do recommend being careful with the term “Black Clown Goby” I have a feeling you don’t always end up with a pure G. strangulatus and have a chance on getting a different species of Clown goby that can be thrown under the common name. I have however found no matter which species, they’re all the same in care and size. G. citrinis is a strange species of clown goby though because it gets larger than the common yellow, black, brown/red ect..

oh ok, but I dont need a pure, as long as it's black, and not large.

Yeah, Citrons are large but obvious due to them being often confused with G. okinawae (Yellows). Mine is what I suspect to be a G. unicolour and at certain angles has a strange see-through line. But at most angles it’s ash black so it is truly strange.

I vote for citron goby, they are pretty large, showy, but not to active so could be kept in a smaller tank.

I have one and he is very personable too, eats food right out of my hand.
is it a lemon clown goby? because on the petco website they have a lemon clown goby which looks like the citron

Just looked at the listing, and they do look the exact same ( mine is quite a bit darker but that is simply species variation ) however I would want other people to confirm too, don't just take my word for it.

i just checked the description of the goby and It said: "The Citron Clown
is a light-yellow color with light blue horizontal lines by their fins."
