ye probably, but my eyes are on a black clown goby and a clownfish mainly lol (which petco does have)Most local fish stores will order specific fish for you. Even Petco will order saltwater fish you want
I do recommend being careful with the term “Black Clown Goby” I have a feeling you don’t always end up with a pure G. strangulatus and have a chance on getting a different species of Clown goby that can be thrown under the common name. I have however found no matter which species, they’re all the same in care and size. G. citrinis is a strange species of clown goby though because it gets larger than the common yellow, black, brown/red ect..ye probably, but my eyes are on a black clown goby and a clownfish mainly lol (which petco does have)
oh ok, but I dont need a pure, as long as it's black, and not large.I do recommend being careful with the term “Black Clown Goby” I have a feeling you don’t always end up with a pure G. strangulatus and have a chance on getting a different species of Clown goby that can be thrown under the common name. Yeah, Citrons are large but obvious due to them being often confused with G. okinawae (Yellows). Mine is what I suspect to be a G. unicolour and at certain angles has a strange see-through line. But at most angles it’s ash black so it is truly strange.oh ok, but I dont need a pure, as long as it's black, and not large.
oh. petco does say that their black clown gobies grow to ~2 inches, but im kinda skepticalYeah, Citrons are large but obvious due to them being often confused with G. okinawae (Yellows). is it a lemon clown goby? because on the petco website they have a lemon clown goby which looks like the citronI vote for citron goby, they are pretty large, showy, but not to active so could be kept in a smaller tank.
I have one and he is very personable too, eats food right out of my hand.
Just looked at the listing, and they do look the exact same ( mine is quite a bit darker but that is simply species variation ) however I would want other people to confirm too, don't just take my word for it.is it a lemon clown goby? because on the petco website they have a lemon clown goby which looks like the citron

they are a bit pricey, but not for such an amazing fish!my only concern is the price, so if I go there and they dont have it, Ill get another clownfish instead.
I mean they would probably live, but I wouldn't recommend it at all.also a friend told me baggani cardinals can go in a 10 gal, I doubt it, but I wonder lol
