I'm panicking and would like to ask for opinion!
After I was devastated by an ich outbreak which wiped out all my fish and almost made me quit the hobby, I now have a display tank that I'm fairly confident is ich and velvet free. I fallowed for half a year with inverts before adding my fish, which have all gone through 2 week copper quarantines. I also have a fallow coral quarantine tank which I note every time something new is added to it and only after 76 days with no new additions do I pull things out and transfer to the display. I've also been very careful not to work on the quarantine tank and then immediately work on the display.
Today while working on the quarantine tank, which has now been 3 weeks since my last addition of a coral, I pulled my hand out with a big fat amphipod stuck on my armhair. I thought "wow neato, that's never happened before!" and proceeded to give it to one of my wrasses as a treat. Right after seeing my wrasse devour it, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Have I now introduced ich to my display after all that work and patience??
Opinions please! I'm praying that the fact the coral tank has never had any fish in it will somehow be my saving grace. But maybe I'm just in denial...
