Hello guys, maybe you can help me out and bring some light into the darkness.
At the moment i am confused aber all these different filter methods and media existing and how/when to use them.
1. In general, alls of these filter methods are used to remove bad stuff from the water..if necessary. That means theoretically if everything is fine, all paramaters are fine I dont need any other filtration than my skimmer?
2. Filtration also always removes "good" stuff like nutrients? Which is sometimes on puropose if reef pros run an ulta low nutrient tank?
3. Whats the right filtration for me? Actually I just run a skimmer and a filter roller. Why a filter roller? I have no idea. Sounded good, just to have "more" filtration than a skimmer.
So, my main request would be how I figure out for my tank how much and what kind of filtration I want to have! How do I knoe if I have to much/less filtration?
